Summary

The Mead School is a vibrant community of learners enrolling students from Infants to Grade 8. We are currently looking for a Toddler teacher to join a well established teaching team. Each team is comprised of three teachers who work together collaboratively creat an exciting and enriching curriculum in creative and playbased environment

Duties

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Working in collaboration with a teaching team to establish and maintain

• A physically safe, clean, and healthy learning environment, both inside and out, to prevent injury and reduce illness.

• A consistent, predictable, responsive, and well-organized environment, intentionally prepared to meet the evolving needs of students, foster a sense of belonging and emotional security, and encourage appropriate behavior.

• A respectful, loving and inclusive environment that values and honors each child's gender identity, race, culture, family, language, and learning style to nurture a positive and strong sense of self.

• An environment that provides a developmentally appropriate and anti-bias curriculum and supports each child's emotional, social, cognitive, creative, and physical development.

Requirements

• We are looking for creative individuals who have a natural talent for making connections with young children.

• Candidates must be warm, fun lovingand nurturing; possess a positive energy;enjoy designing activities and playing with children; take direction well; be quick to learn; and must communicate and work well with others.

• At least 6 months experience working with young children in a childcare or preschool setting, and coursework in early childhood are preferred.Hands-on training provided.

• Must be 18 years or older

• Must clear full background check and pass health screening.

• Must be available to work between the hours of 9:00 am and 5:30 pm.
