Responsibilities:

• Supervise and lead Structural Steel Detailers
• Ensure drawings are accurate and complete
• Perform detailed checks on drawings and layouts
• Address interferences and constructability issues
• Maintain records for change orders and develop RFIs
• Use and understand 3D modeling operations
• Plan and calculate lengths and dimensions of steel elements
• Ensure detail accuracy against contract documents

Requirements:

• Read and interpret architectural and structural building plans
• Understand construction trade drawings and plan/section nomenclature
• Coordinate information between various trade drawings
• Proficient in Tekla Structures; knowledge of AutoCAD and SDS preferred
• Minimum 8 years of structural steel detailing and 5+ years of quality checking
• Knowledge of steel fabrication, erection, and miscellaneous steel
• Understanding of design, build, and fabrication processes
• Familiarity with AISC, AWS, ASME, and other building codes
