Production Laborer to join our team. The right candidate must be a problem-solver, have strong communication skills, and also be willing and ready to learn.
Description: At Wells we design, produce, and erect precast buildings, and we are hiring production laborers to join our team! Our production laborers are committed to producing high quality concrete products, with a focus on safety and efficiency.
This is a full-time opportunity with a growing company that offers great benefits.
Wells is willing to train any successful candidates with structured, step-by-step training and positive, supportive coaching from management and peers.
No prior manufacturing, construction experience is necessary, but a plus. Great opportunity to learn more responsibilities and grow a career.
$24.00 per hour KEY RESPNOSIBILITIES INCLUDE:
- Work with co-workers to strip, set-up and pour the bed in a timely manner.
- Work with the Quality Control Department to ensure optimal quality.
- Take direction from their Team Leader and Supervisor.
- Flexible to perform work in any area including Architectural, Spancrete, Yard, Finish Building, and other areas as needed.
- Maintain a safe environment and have good housekeeping skills while working.
- Participate in Lean Manufacturing objectives and improves the efficiencies of the department.
- Have knowledge of quality program and be able to perform quality work.
- Come to work with a good attitude and work the hours needed to fulfill the job requirements.
- Knowledgeable of day-to-day tasks that are performed and are aware of what the next step is without being told.
KEY REQUIREMENTS, SKILLS, & QUALIFICATIONS:
- Must be 18 years of age
- Willing and able to work safely in a manufacturing environment.
- Able to perform manual labor: Physically able to lift up to 75 lbs. bend, stoop, kneel and climb.
- Able to have good attendance.
- Able to follow instructions and work in a team environment.
- Must have transportation to and from work.
- Read a tape measure, and have good general math knowledge.
- Follow work orders.
WORKING CONDITIONS:
- Moderate to high risk of exposure to unusual elements.
- Moderate to high risk of safety precautions.
- Moderate to high exposure to production environment.
- Wet, hot, humid, and wintry conditions (weather related) (plant specific)
- Ability to work outside year-round (plant specific)
