North Mississippi Health Services is seeking a Pharmacist Level II for a job in Verona, Mississippi.

\n Clinical :
\n
\n* Assists in coordinating and providing care to patients across continuum of care, in conjunction with other health care professionals
\n* Serves as a resource person to support pharmacy personnel and other healthcare professionals in designated area
\n* Assists in designing and coordinating clinical pharmacy services
\n* Assists in training pharmacy staff
\n* Monitors and manages drug therapy in designated patient population
\n* Develops care plans/guidelines to include drug, devices and delivery modalities
\n
\n Education:
\n
\n* Provides pharmacotherapy education
\n* Assists in programs to meet the needs of the pharmacy and other healthcare professionals
\n* Develops objectives for and facilitate student/resident training
\n* Provides medication use education to patients, family members, community, etc.
\n* Participates and assists in educational programs that focus on disease prevention and wellness promotion
\n* Participates in departmental performance improvement programs
\n* Maintains CE (Continuous Education) hours as required
\n
\n Operations:
\n
\n* Assists in prevention, detection, and resolution of medicine abuse
\n* Working knowledge of pharmacy and medical claims systems
\n* Understanding of retail and hospital outpatient operations
\n* Working knowledge of billing and reimbursement procedures (ICD-9/HCPC/CPT Coding , OPPS reimbursement, Medicare, etc)
\n* Verifies patient health insurance benefits and precertification’s for Third Party Payors
\n
\n  Financial/Budget:
\n
\n* Compares, evaluates, and assesses drug therapy treatments regimes and drug delivery in designated practice areas
\n* Assists in compliance of departmental budget
\n* Participates in on-going revision of system-wide formulary
\n
\n Reporting/Recordkeeping :
\n
\n* Maintains service activities and outcomes reports for designated practice area(s)
\n* Provides reports in an accurate and efficient manner
\n
\n Research :
\n
\n* Coordinates, conducts, and participates in pharmacology research/development in cooperation with other healthcare professionals
\n
\n Regulatory:
\n
\n* Ensures departmental compliance with accreditation, legal, regulatory, and safety requirements
\n* Adheres to NMHS/NMMC Policies, Procedures/Guidelines
\n
\n Requirements:
\n
\n* Doctorate of Pharmacy Degree required
\n* Graduate of an accredited school of Pharmacy; required
\n* Licensed as a Pharmacist in the State of Mississippi by the State Board of Pharmacy; required
\n* Excellent written and verbal communication required
\n* Minimum of 3 years experience in comparable health system pharmacy; required
\n * American Society of Health Systems Pharmacy Residency (ASHP) or 3 years clinical practice experience (clinical)
\n * American Society of Health Systems Pharmacy Residency (ASHP) or 3 years operational experience (operational)
\n* Demonstrated proficiency in multiple clinical or operational areas; required
\n* Previous patient care or equivalent previous experience with demonstrated proficiency in clinical areas needed to enhance pharmaceutical care; required
\n* Knowledge and skill across broad populations or specialized populations; required
\n* Interaction with a patient population of all ages ranging from infants to geriatrics, required
