Akkodis is seeking a Java Developer position with a client located in Rochester, NY. Must have a Bachelor's degree in a related field to be considered for this position. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing, testing, java-based applications, and APIs, as well as maintaining existing ones. The ideal candidate should have a strong background in software engineering, java development, writing Clean and Maintainable code.

Pay/Salary Range $50hr-60hr.

Java Developer job responsibilities include:

· Strong problem solving and analytical skills.

· Collaborate with other team members and stakeholders on technology solutions.

· Troubleshooting issues with existing codebase.

· Implementing automated testing and unit tests for frontend to ensure code quality.

· Creating build pipelines and automating deployment of the code.

· Ability to work independently.

QUALIFICATIONS:

· Bachelor’s degree in a related discipline is required.

· Minimum Six years related experience.

· Proficiency Spring and spring boot

· Experience with NOSQL databases.

· Knowledge of containerization platforms (OpenShift)

· Understanding of distributed messaging system (Kafka)

· Experience with build tools , Agile and release pipeline Kubernetes and OpenShift and Kafka
