Job Description: Cable Technician / Installer
We are seeking a skilled and experienced Network Cable Installer to join our team. As a Network Cable Installer, you will be responsible for installing, configuring, and testing network cables and systems for our clients. You will work closely with our clients to understand their specific needs and ensure that all installations are completed to the highest standards.

Responsibilities:

• Install, configure, and test network cables and systems, including Cat5e, Cat6, and fiber optic cables
• Conduct site surveys to determine the most efficient and effective installation plan
• Identify and troubleshoot issues with existing cable infrastructure and make recommendations for upgrades or repairs
• Work with clients to understand their specific needs and requirements
• Collaborate with other technicians and team members to ensure efficient job completion and high-quality results

Requirements:

• High school diploma or equivalent required; technical degree or certification in a related field preferred
• 1-2 years of experience as a network cable installer or in a related field (e.g., telecommunications, electronics)
• Strong knowledge of network cabling standards (e.g., TIA-568) and fiber optic technology
• Excellent problem-solving skills, with the ability to diagnose and resolve complex technical issues
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively interact with clients and colleagues
• Ability to work at heights (e.g., ladders) and lift up to 50 pounds
• Valid driver's license with a clean driving record (if applicable)
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with frequent deadlines

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience with commercial-grade network cabling installations
• Knowledge of network protocols (e.g., TCP/IP, DNS)
