Advanced Systems Design is seeking a Business Systems Analyst (Medicaid) for our client located in Montgomery, AL .
This position is onsite in Montgomery, AL, and requires in-person availability starting day 1.
Job Overview:
- Our client is seeking an experienced Technology Requirements Manager to advise on technical requirements for IT solutions and services contracts; review vendor technical proposals and contractor plans, specifications, and reports for IT solutions and services contracts; assess technical problems during IT solutions and services contracts implementation, test, deployment, and operations; and make recommendations on decisions to ensure success.
- The Analyst will be a trusted partner alongside vendors and managers to ensure project direction, goals and initiatives achieve desired results.
- They will work with vendors to define system requirements that ensure compatibility with the client technical reference architecture and compliance with federal and state standards, including ongoing changes.
Required Qualifications:
- 8 – 10 years total of practical technical experience in one or more of the following, AND the ability to research and obtain working knowledge of all the following:
- software or application development
- database design and administration
- integration and administration of large scale computer hardware systems
- datacenter or cloud operations
- network design and operations
- telecommunications circuits installation and operations
- IT Service Management
- 3 – 5 years of experience with large multi-vendor projects or teams
- 3 – 5 years of experience working with senior management and key stakeholders
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills to relate technical concepts to non-technical audiences
- Extensive knowledge of and experience using Microsoft 365 products
- Ability to deal with a dynamic environment and change.
- Ability to work with virtual/in-person teams, and work under pressure / to a deadline.
- Ability to research and track industry trends, maintain knowledge of new technologies and processes, and research applicable Federal government technical policies or guidance affecting client to advise client team members and governance bodies.
- Provide in-depth analysis and critical thinking when reviewing contractor technical design documentation to identify problems, potential gaps, or risks, and make recommendations that will influence positive decisions while ensuring compliance with contract requirements and standards.
- Use technical expertise and the results of research to make recommendations to management in support of key decisions, establishing priorities, evaluating trade-off decisions, best practices and risks as related to the client technologies and solutions.
- Ability to analyze and monitor the integration of multiple systems from multiple vendors by validating assumptions, developing key insights and preparing periodic and ad-hoc reports, metrics and presentations for review by senior managers.
- Work closely with people in the client support organizations that are responsible for critical areas such as security, data governance, privacy, and project management to ensure technical solutions comply with agency and federal standards.
- Have the skills to participate in and contribute to planning, design, and testing events to develop and maintain a thorough understanding of the vendor solutions to be implemented.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience on a Medicaid or Major Health Care Payer Project
- Experience providing technical support on an integration project similar in size and scope to AMMP
- Effective analytic/diagnostic skills and strong critical thinking skills.
- Knowledge of and experience using ServiceNow
- Knowledge and experience with Azure
- Strong interpersonal skills to build team rapport
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to work independently with minimal direction from State or other team members
- Ability to work under pressure / to a deadline
- Strong analytical and critical thinking skills
- Exceptional research and reporting skills
Education Required:
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information systems or similar field
