* Position: Billing Specialist
* Location: Remote
* Hours: Monday-Friday, 8a-5p
THE POSITION: We are seeking a dedicated and talented Billing Specialist to join our team. If you are well-versed in Texas DME operations, familiar with payor guidelines, authorization requirements, and have Brightree experience, we want to hear from you.
Key Responsibilities:
* Claim submission & follow up through Brightree or insurance portals
* Collecting and posting payments in patient accounts
* Contacting customers regarding outstanding balances
* Resolving partial payment or denials from insurance companies
* Taking customer orders, answering claims questions, and performing other accounts receivable duties
Qualifications:
* 1+ years experience in DME billing
* 3+ years of billing and collection experience if no prior DME experience
* Detail-oriented with a keen eye for accuracy and compliance.
* Innovative thinker who can adapt and find creative solutions.
* Self-starter capable of working independently in a remote environment.
* Strong time management skills to meet deadlines efficiently.
* Strong communication and interpersonal skills
* High attention to detail and demonstrated initiative
* Technical skills, including experience with Microsoft Excel and Brightree
* Previous medical billing experience preferred
