Job Description

Azure Engineer / Azure Architect
Location: Rochester, NY (Hybrid 3 days/week onsite) OR 100% Remote
Job Type and Duration: 6 month contract (possible contract to hire or contract extension)

Skills
Experienced cloud architect, a lot about infrastructure, some about applications
Skilled in Azure subscriptions, and all types of objects, networks, etc.
Devops and pipeline experience, for "infrastructure as code and for applications deployment
To Do
Help debate and decide architecture and policies (especially for security settings, logging, monitoring, networks, zero trust, web front doors, etc.)
Teaching people new to it, setting up templates, processes, and procedures... example: a process with based templates/choices in windows and Linux servers, customization with applications and networks, and saving final template for re-instancing as required. Processes to when base template is updated and to restart with patched base OS images.
Help implement cloud identity management and privileged access management methods and procedures (extend ours where possible)
Be onsite in Rochester NY at least 3 days a week (this is a plus, but not a firm requirement)
Possibly be involved in other business system architecture reviews, and in our AD domain clean-up/migration project
